After painting a number of brightly colored florals, I looked forward to
painting with a subtler palette. I was amazed at the variety of colors
actually present within this beautiful "white" gardenia and enjoyed the
challenge of not only discovering the many subtle color shifts, but
also representing them on the canvas in a believable manner.
